Chancellor Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook has led the Santa Clarita Community College District for more than 22 years. During that time, she has managed dynamic growth of the college with astute vision and innovation. From the Performing Arts Center and Music-Dance buildings, to the opening of a second campus in Canyon Country, to the creation of the University Center and much more, Dr. Van Hook’s foresight and versatility have provided access to education and opened the doors of opportunity for countless students. The college is noted for its willingness and ability to create programs that are timely and important to the community. In this case, current and future opportunities in Culinary Arts in California and across the country have been identified. As always, the college is eager to step up and provide the training to fill those needs. Under her leadership, College of the Canyons has become an icon of economic stability and innovation; a creative partner with business and industry; a strong contributor to economic development of the region, and it continues its well-earned reputation as a well-managed, constant, positive force in the Santa Clarita Valley.
